About Kate
About Kate Sandalls – Owner of Walk n Stay
From a very young age, I have always been interested in animals. I have been brought up with dogs all my life in the family home, also had an aviary of birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish and I was always rescuing and nursing the wild bird population.
When I got a little older, I was volunteering at a dog rescue shelter, until I could get a part time job whilst at school at dog boarding kennels. I left school and went to Hartpury College where I completed my National Diploma in Animal Management. During my college I was so lucky to experience a trip to Borneo to work within the conservation of the orangutans.
I have furthered my studies in Dog Behaviour with COAPE.
I have always been interested in learning as much as I can about the huge variety of dog breeds and all their individual specifics traits. I am confident in dealing with any animal from the very small to the very large, the scaly to the hairy, beaks to paws.
I do have a great love for the big dogs as I have been brought up with German Shepherds, and now, I own a whippet (willow), a lurcher (Kane), a English Bull Terrier (Narla) and a Jack Russell’s (Cookie).
I am confident in handling and walking strong willed dogs.
